Festival Press Release
Organisers of the Stortford Music Festival have rung in the New Year by announcing the dates and headlining acts for this year’s Stortford Music Festival. The two-day event held in the grounds of St Mary’s Catholic School, Windhill, Bishop’s Stortford will take place on the first May Bank Holiday weekend, May 3 and 4, and festival-goers can look forward to even more than ever before.
Topping the bill on Saturday will be AloneMe, a band that has played hundreds of gigs throughout the UK and Ireland and has now forged a reputation for being one of the must-see bands on today’s live circuit.
Sunday’s headliners will be No I.D. who went down a storm at the Cambridge Folk Festival with their own brand of Irish-based music.
Annie Compton, Festival Director, said: "We’re going to have more than 45 bands playing from two stages; Theatre companies and other performance art groups will be appearing in an Arts Marquee, and there will be loads of interactive workshops. And lets not forget the beer tent and stalls," she added.
"Last year’s festival was a great success with approximately 1500 people coming from across the UK to enjoy themselves. We are aiming to make this year even more enjoyable. We are very proud that this is truly a family friendly festival where there is something for everyone."
